What fabric should I choose for my living room?
It is determined by the mood that you want to establish and the amount of natural light that the room has. Lined linen or velvet drapes can be used to make it warm and luxurious. When your living room receives a lot of afternoon sun, then a lighter polyester sheer with a heavier outer curtain is suitable since you can work with this one all day long. We would always suggest seeing samples in your real room before making a commitment, as fabric will appear very different under the showroom lighting as compared to when it is in your home, where there is natural lighting.
How long does it take from order to installation?
In the case of custom-made curtains of standard size, the average time span is two to three weeks after confirming the measurements and fabric choices. A little longer may be required in more complicated projects – motorized systems or large volume orders. When we take your order, we will always provide a clear timeline on which you can plan. It is also always worth asking whether you are working to a deadline because sometimes rush orders can be accommodated based on the workload.
How do I know how much fabric I need?
This is among the reasons why a site visit is so fruitful. The quantity of the fabric needed will be determined by the width of your window, how thick you want your curtain, the repeat of the pattern of your chosen fabric, and the length of your final drop. This is one of the most frequent and expensive errors in curtain projects and involves underestimating fabric. All this is computed by our team on the measuring visit, and a specific specification is given prior to ordering anything. You will never be caught wondering or requested to come up with a deficit retrospectively.
Do you offer laundry and maintenance services?
Yes. Tanj Curtains and Interiors will provide professional services for the laundering of curtains and drapes. The unhanging, cleaning, and re-hinging are all done by us, and you are not involved at all. We also recommend regular service, such as dusting, steaming, and dealing with small stains, to ensure that your curtains are always in a very good state between full cleans. In case of motorized systems, we provide regular maintenance checks to ensure that everything is running well.
